Snickerdoodles

Next up were Snickerdoodles up on p. 23 in the Primer section of the Cooky Book. These are a traditional, crunchy, cinnamon bite.

This one is a classic. I feel like I’ve made them before, but it has been a very long time. Another traditional cookie dough with butter, sugar, egg,, flour, baking soda, and a bit of cream of tartar.

Once I made the dough, I rolled it out into small balls. Those balls are then rolled in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.

They puff up as they bake, but then flatten back down. These were exactly what you would want from a snickerdoodle.

Bottom line: These were crunchy and full of cinnamon flavor. They are simple to make and satisfy your childhood desire for a yummy cookie. I would certainly make them again.
